Similar to Shandong Street, Ningbo and Shanghai Streets are named after Chinese provinces and cities. Shanghai Street, which was built in 1887, sits on a former coastline. It is now a place full of pre-war tenement houses and kitchen supply stores, of which more than 30 stores are over 40 years old. The rest garden is located at the junction of Ning Po Street and Shanghai Street. It has a rectangular layout with two entrances and exits, benches, canopies and chess tables. The area is also surrounded by plants on three sides, the most famous of which are the two large Chinese Banyans, which provide shade for the citizens. Many citizens rest under the shade of these trees during the daytime.
